Employment Law
In winter 2025, Oslo District Court held that an employer must be able to substantiate the factual basis for a dismissal. Suspicion of substance abuse was not sufficient. The dismissal was declared invalid, and the employee was awarded full legal costs.

Intellectual Property Law
In spring 2026, Oslo District Court held that a co-author may republish a joint work where no restrictions have been agreed. The Court applied the general rule under Section 8 of the Norwegian Copyright Act: each author may publish the work in the same manner. Our client was acquitted and awarded full legal costs.

When a dispute has arisen
A dispute does not necessarily have to end up in court. The first question is often what the dispute is actually about, what rights and obligations the parties have, and what solution is realistic.
